For IGNOU students, keeping track of every important update can sometimes be difficult. Admission notifications, re-registration, assignments, examinations, date sheets, hall tickets, results and other academic announcements are released at different times.

i. Login to the IGNOU Samarth Portal: Students must log in to the IGNOU Samarth Student Portal. The list of courses eligible for assignment submission will be displayed in their student accounts.
ii. Check Eligibility: Before submitting an assignment, ensure that you are eligible to submit it for the TEE December 2026 session. If you have already passed the assignments of the displayed courses, there is no need to resubmit them. For details, visit:
https://isms.ignou.ac.in/changeadmmdata/AdmissionStatusNew.ASP
iii. Avoid Duplicate Submission: If you have already submitted the hard copy of an assignment for an eligible course at your Regional Centre or Study Centre, you do not need to submit the same assignment again through the Online Assignment Management System (OAMS).
iv. Verify the Assignment Question Paper: Carefully check that the uploaded assignment question paper in the OAMS portal is applicable to your programme, course and session. If you find any discrepancy, contact your Regional Centre or visit the official IGNOU Assignment Portal to download the current assignment question paper.
v. First Page of the Assignment: The first page of each assignment must contain the following details:
Learner’s Name
Enrolment Number
Study Centre Code
Course Code
Regional Centre Code
Regional Centre Name
Student’s Email ID
Examination Session: December 2026
Signature of Student
vi. Required Documents: The IGNOU Identity Card, relevant assignment question paper and handwritten responses should also be included in the submitted document, as required by the prescribed guidelines.
vii. Handwritten Assignments: All assignment responses must be handwritten. If submitting online, scan the completed assignment properly and ensure that every page is clear, legible and properly aligned. Students must sign every page of the assignment.
viii. PDF Format and File Size: For each course, upload one single PDF file containing the answers to all the required questions. The file size must not exceed 20 MB per course.
ix. File Naming Convention: Name each PDF file using your enrolment number followed by an underscore and the course code. For example, if your enrolment number is 1234567890 and your course code is MEG-01, the file name should be: 1234567890_MEG01.pdf
x. Further Clarifications: For any doubts or clarification regarding assignment requirements, contact the officials of your respective Study Centre or Regional Centre.
xi. Do Not Send Assignments by Email: Do not send assignments to the email address of any Regional Centre or to any other email address. Assignments sent by email will not be considered.
xii. Online Acknowledgement/Receipt: After successful submission, an online acknowledgement will be reflected in the Online Assignment Management System (OAMS) and sent to the email address registered in your IGNOU records. If your registered email address is incorrect, contact your Regional Centre to get it corrected.
xiii. Track Assignment Evaluation Status: Regularly log in to the Online Assignment Portal (OAMS) through your IGNOU Samarth Student account to check updates regarding the evaluation status of your submitted assignments.
xiv. Queries Regarding Assignment Evaluation: For any queries related to assignment evaluation, contact your respective Regional Centre.
xv. Technical Support for Online Submission: For technical issues related to online assignment submission, contact preexamcs@ignou.ac.in.
xvi. Important Note: Students are advised to verify all submission requirements and ensure that their assignments are uploaded successfully before the applicable deadline. Please refer to official IGNOU notifications for the latest instructions and updates.
